A beautiful poster of the ordered starry sky on lovely sturdy paper. Good quality, beautiful colours. Ordered with an oak frame. The packaging is excellent! At home I put the poster in the frame, wrapped it in gift paper and then placed it back in that great shipping box. This gift then survived a 1,250-kilometre journey to the south of France and back again in the same box!

Had a beautiful birth poster made with little animals. A really lovely gift to give, with fast shipping and beautiful quality. The frames are good quality too and convenient to order along with it, though relatively expensive for what you get, so you are paying partly for the service.

Frequently Asked Questions

My child’s zodiac sign is not on the poster. How is that possible?

That can indeed happen. The constellations shown at the centre of the poster may be different from your child’s astrological zodiac sign. Our posters show how the stars really looked at a specific moment and in a specific place. The Earth rotates on its axis and around the sun, so the sky is always changing. If two people look up at the same moment in Cape Town and Amsterdam, they will see different skies. An astrological sign, however, is the same for everyone born between roughly the 21st of one month and the 21st of the next. So it may simply be that the astrological sign was not visible in the sky at birth.

What is the delivery time for a poster?

Deliveries within the Netherlands: An order is shipped on the working day after it is placed, unless you choose bank transfer. We ship with PostNL. Within the Netherlands, PostNL usually delivers the next day, except on Sundays. Your poster will therefore usually arrive within 2 to 3 working days. As soon as PostNL scans your parcel, the Track & Trace email is sent. Deliveries outside the Netherlands: An order is shipped on the working day after it is placed, unless you choose bank transfer. We ship international orders through PostNL’s partner network. The total delivery time depends on the destination. You can follow your order with the MyParcel tracking code.

What are the shipping costs for a poster?

Within the Netherlands, we charge a shipping contribution of €3. For orders outside the Netherlands, the shipping contribution is based on the actual costs; we charge a contribution towards these costs.

Is it possible that this starry sky has already been ordered before?

When you order a starry sky from us, our system checks whether these details have been entered before. The check is based on the combination of place of birth, date of birth and time of birth. If these details have already been used, you will see an “oops” message. If you see this message, contact us at hi@mrstarsky.com or through our chat, and we will check whether this poster has really been ordered before.

I already have a wooden frame from an earlier order. Will the new frame match it?

Our current frames are made from solid oak. The previous collection was made from a different type of wood with a slightly different look. If you want to hang frames next to each other, a difference in colour and structure may be visible. You can order a new frame separately if you would like them to match.
