About Anna Katharina Jansen

Working with Anna Katharina Jansen is a true joy thanks to her warm, friendly personality and wonderful sense of humour and lightness. You can see that in the work of this very talented illustrator.

Together with her, MrStarsky created a starry sky poster and a collection of letter posters. Entirely in Anna Katharina Jansen’s style: minimalist and playful, yet instantly recognizable.

She has a background in Communication Design (FH Aachen) and Illustration (HAW Hamburg). Her illustrations are known for simple shapes, disarming characters and pastel colours, occasionally mixed with bright red, lilac or blue tones. Her love of graphic stripes and grid patterns is clearly visible in her work.

Such a lovely concept! Perhaps it would be nice to have even more templates to choose from, but it is still a fantastic baby gift. A beautiful poster of the ordered starry sky on lovely sturdy paper. Good quality, beautiful colours. Ordered with an oak frame. The packaging is excellent! At home I put the poster in the frame, wrapped it in gift paper and then placed it back in that great shipping box. This gift then survived a 1,250-kilometre journey to the south of France and back again in the same box!

No, the frame contains a thick type of polystyrene. This makes the frame safe for children’s rooms.

I want to give a starry sky poster as a gift. Could the recipient already have this poster?

When you order a poster from us, our system checks whether these details have been entered before. The check is based on the combination of place of birth, date of birth and time of birth. If these details have already been used, you will see an “oops” message. If you see this message, contact us at hi@mrstarsky.com or through our chat, and we will check whether this poster has really been ordered before. Why does the price differ from one poster to another?

Some styles do indeed differ in price from the other posters. This is because the constellations on these posters are finished with gold foil, giving them an extra luxurious look.

Which illustration styles can I choose from?

At the moment, you can choose from seven different illustration styles. Our collection ranges from soft watercolour to graphic animal illustrations. Want to know more about the illustrators? Click here. Of course, you can also get started right away. Discover which style suits you best.

What kind of paper are the posters printed on?

At MrStarsky we use 100% natural, FSC-approved 270 gsm paper. It is off-white and has a subtle texture. For the gold foil posters we use a slightly raised texture, and for the other posters a soft eggshell-like structure. Our posters are made in the Netherlands.

Which sizes can I order a poster in?

All illustration styles are available in three sizes: 30 x 40 cm, 40 x 50 cm and 50 x 70 cm.

What details do I need for a starry sky poster?

Material & quality

What material are the frames made from?

Our frames are made from solid oak. This gives them a beautiful natural look, as well as great durability and strength. We deliberately chose this upgrade because it improves quality and customer satisfaction.

I already have a wooden frame from an earlier order. Will the new frame match it?

Our current frames are made from solid oak. The previous collection was made from a different type of wood with a slightly different look. If you want to hang frames next to each other, a difference in colour and structure may be visible. You can order a new frame separately if you would like them to match.

Which payment methods can I use?

At MrStarsky, you can pay with iDEAL, PayPal, Bancontact, bank transfer, Maestro, Mastercard and Visa.

Can I also buy a gift card?

Yes, absolutely! You can find more information about our gift card here.

I have not received an order confirmation. What should I do?

We understand it can be confusing if you do not receive a confirmation after ordering. Good news: in 99% of cases, the email has been sent but filtered by your email program. Gmail: check Spam and Promotions. Search for MrStarsky or your order number. Sometimes Gmail moves emails automatically without notifying you. Outlook / Hotmail / Live: check Junk email. Add hi@mrstarsky.com to your safe senders and search for MrStarsky or your order number. Still nothing? Contact us via mrstarsky.com/contact.

Returns

Unfortunately I made a mistake when ordering my product. How can I fix it?

Within 3 hours after placing your order, we can still process changes. In that case, send an email to hi@mrstarsky.com or reply to your order confirmation.

My product is damaged. What should I do?

We do everything we can to deliver your order as expected and on time. If your order does not meet your or our quality standards when it arrives, for example because it was damaged in transit, please contact us within one week. Send an email with a photo and your order number to hi@mrstarsky.com, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I return my order?

Because our products are personalized, exchanges are not possible. We recommend checking the details in your order confirmation carefully to make sure everything is correct. You can send us changes until 10:00 in the morning after the order has been paid.
